The mission of Master Underwater Technologies Inc. is to develop new underwater technologies which will promote safety throughout the underwater environment.

Our business office is located near Victoria, in Cobble Hill, British Columbia, Canada, with lab facilities at the University of Victoria.

Tim Stevens of Stevens' Solutions is a management consultant with 28 years of naval diving experience. Rhocraft Research & Development is headed by Robert Rowe, an experienced scientist with numerous inventions behind his name. The Innovation & Development Corporation (IDC) of the University of Victoria (British Columbia, Canada) is a major partner in this venture.

Tim Stevens, MBA - President

Tim Stevens has 28 years of experience in the Canadian Navy and a Masters of Business Administration degree (MBA). He operates Stevens Solutions, a management consulting business in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.

A professional naval Clearance Diver since 1976, Tim Stevens is certified to use and supervise all types of diving equipment in existence today. Tim has spent thousands of hours working in underwater diving to a maximum depth of over 300 feet. At the same time, he also worked for over 25 years as an Explosive Ordnance Disposal Team and Fleet Diving Unit's Bomb Disposal Officer for 2 years. As a Diving Instructor, Tim has trained hundreds of divers at Fleet Diving Units throughout Canada.

In 1990, he became a Naval Officer and sailed on board HMCS ANNAPOLIS, and was Executive Officer of HMCS COWICHAN. Returning to the diving community Tim was then employed as the Training Officer, Explosive Ordnance Disposal Officer and finally as the Executive Officer, second in command of Fleet Diving Unit (Pacific).


Robert Rowe - Chief Technical Officer

Bob Rowe is currently President of RHOCRAFT R & D LTD located at the University of Victoria, British Columbia. He has a B.SC in Molecular Biology and has worked at the University of Victoria Chemistry Department and RE-TECH Ltd., a local research and development firm.

Bob has operated his own consulting business since 1990. Some of his work has included projects for the Department of National Defence, the University of Victoria Chemistry Department and other private firms.

Bob Rowe has been involved in the design of many projects including the following:

  • A new diver location and safety device - LOCATE PLUS.
  • The world's first underwater communications system using LEDs (light emitting diodes) for the Canadian Department of National Defence.
  • Early model GPS data logging units for use in the Canadian High Arctic.
  • A system for monitoring corrosion potential on underwater structures both stationary and moving (e.g. ships). This system is marketed under the CorrMon trade name.
  • A solid-state oxygen sensor technology. This technology is currently in trials with a large multinational company. Patents Pending.
  • An environmentally-friendly marine biocide (with the University of Victoria). Patents Pending. Industrial trials in progress.
